I knew I was heading into the wilderness and the fear and murmuring started. But the more and more I study I realized I had been in the wilderness already. I'm just heading back into it, or so I think...
Recently, I was studying about the wilderness and the Israelites, but today I wanted to remind you (and myself) that God still provides. Just like Joseph wasn't forgotten, we are not forgotten.
Join me as I map out what I am learning about God providing in the wilderness.
The big question (right in the center). How did God provide in the wilderness? You can print out a copy of the mapping sheet if you want to put it in your Scripture / Bible Journal.
The study I did looked at Exodus 16 & 17.
Exodus 16:2 - Reminds us of the murmuring, and fear that God wouldn't provide.
Exodus 16:3 - What were the Israelites complaining about? They were scared they were going to starve to death.
Exodus 16:4 - God provided Manna or bread from heaven.
God also promised meat in Exodus 16:12
So Exodus 16:2-12 reminder: You won't starve in the Wilderness.
What about Doubt?
Exodus 16:10 - The glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.
Exodus 16:11 - The Lord spoke to Moses
Exodus 16:10-11 reminder: God proved Himself and His use of Moses by showing up and speaking to Moses.
Exodus 17:3 - More murmuring - God brought so out of Egypt to kill us and our cattle with thirst.
Exodus 17:6 - God provided water when Moses smote the rock in Horeb.
Exodus 17:3-6 reminder: God will provide your needs even in the wilderness.
As you can see not only does Dod provide your needs, but he is ever present.
Let me know in the comment section if you saw more proof of God's provision in these verses. Don't forget to post a picture of your filled out provision sheet on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #weareberean.
