My coworker and I were talking about how her church started a Bible reading plan for the New Year. They have made it super simple. They started a Facebook group, and every night at midnight they upload the reading plan for the day. Not only that, but they include links to an online Bible. This makes it easier to read and takes the excuses away.
This got me thinking about how Bible study, should be a challenge, keeping you growing. That doesn't mean it has to be hard. I recently posted an article to help the Berean in you with Bible Apps. So today, I want to follow that up with 3 Websites to help the Berean in you grow.
1. Bible Gateway:
The website I have been using for a long time is the Bible Gateway. I really like the Bible Gateway because you can use the Topical Index. I also like that it has Audio Bibles and tips on Scripture Engagement.
If you teach Bible Study classes or Sunday school this can be a great resource. In fact, the Storytelling section is something I recommend for teens. The Audio Bible is a huge help when you’re scared of saying the names wrong, but also it can be good because some people are just audible learners.
2. Blue Letter Bible
Another Bible that I was introduced to by a pastor is the Blue Letter Bible. I really like the Blue Letter Bible because it has charts and outlines. These can be good for visual learners, and can also be used to help you do topical Bible Studies.
Blue Letter also has access to the Strong Concordance, which makes looking up original word meanings easier. Lastly, Blue Letter Bible also gives you access to Commentaries. I’m not just talking about books either, they have both video and audio commentaries as well. This can be extremely helpful when you are feeling stuck with what something is saying. It can also point out things you have missed.
3. The number 3 website is something I have recently been introduced to. It is Bible Study Tools .com It has a Strong’s Concordance, but not just for the King James Version. They also have a Strong’s Concordance that goes with the New American Standard Bible. Just like the Blue Letter Bible, Bible Study Tools . com also has reading plans. This can really help you with your study of God’s Word.
Extra Feature: Audio Bible Online
I know this is 3 websites, but I also wanted to tell you about Audio Bible Online. Which is great for the verbal learners. It has multiple versions of the Bible that you can listen to. This is great, and you could almost use God’s Word as your own Bible Study Podcast during long drives, as well as while working or cleaning.
I hope that these tools will help you to better study God’s Word. I am always looking for new Bible study tools, so if I missed something, tell me about it in the comments. Also, if you have tried any of these websites, which one do you like and why?
Until later, my fellow Berean, may God help you grow in what you’re learning.
